Intellectrical Limited is a Tauranga-owned electrical contractor in our tenth year of trading. Industrial process work, commercial fitouts, switchboards, three-phase, rural and residential — done in-house, signed off, and built to last.

Leon started Intellectrical in 2016 after years of watching the same things go wrong on other people's job sites — corners cut, sites left messy, customers ghosted after invoice. The brief he wrote himself was simple: do the work properly, leave the site tidier than we found it, treat people like adults.
That brief still runs every job. Whether it's bringing a stopped process line back inside the hour for a sawmill, packhouse or bottling plant, or fitting out a new commercial tenancy, the standard doesn't change.
Most of our work today comes back through word-of-mouth. Steve Daniel had us on his house and his business for years. Liam Beale's been working with Leon for a decade. We'd rather earn one customer for life than chase a hundred one-offs.
Every job leaves the site cleaner than we arrived. Every job gets a Certificate of Compliance. Every job gets photos so you know what's behind the wall years later.
If we say Tuesday, we're there Tuesday. If something changes, you'll hear from us before lunch. Most jobs we quote within 24 hours.
We quote the job, not the customer. If it grows mid-job, you'll see the variation in writing before we work to it. No surprises on the invoice.
Code-compliant, properly documented, properly tested. We won't take a shortcut just because no one's looking — the job has to live in your wall for thirty years.
From thermal imaging cameras through to PAT test & tag gear, we own the kit we use — no waiting on rentals, no subcontracted shortcuts. One trade, one timeline, one tidy site.
If you've got a problem post-job, you call. We come back. The relationship doesn't end when the certificate's signed.
Most jobs are within 30 minutes of our Judea workshop. We travel further for industrial process work and commercial fitouts across the wider Bay of Plenty and Waikato.
